I am a figurative painter based between Cambridge and Manchester.

I love painting people and places from life and capturing the characters of both through colour, compositions and mark-making. It is important to me to be guided by the eye primarily and the brain secondarily. Feeling first and then understanding - although the two are in constant dialogue.

I also enjoy delivering workshops, understanding individuals’ ways of seeing, philosophies of art and aims for their own creative journey and helping them find the the tools that can support their ambitions. I have experience with running workshops for a range of ages and backgrounds from hobbyists, to university students.
